No Place Like Soho
If there’s one place in London, that captures the essence of the city, it’s Soho. It’s dark, glamorous, loud, fashionable and slightly dodgy, all at the same time. You’d find bookshops and colourful cafes on one street, but take a turn and you could end up in a dingy alley.
Soho is amazing for people watching, probably because it’s a complete mix of awestruck tourists, hippies, men in suits who seem to have no purpose, groups of people drinking away on a Monday afternoon and the occasional bunch of girls determined to get an ‘Insta-worthy’ shot (that might as well include me). No one stands out here, probably because no one blends in.
I do spend a lot of time in the area so I compiled a mini food guide, and the heatwave that’s hitting London right now is the perfect opportunity to visit all these places.
DRINK THIS: CoCo has some amazing bubble tea, but be prepared to queue up outside because it gets real busy during the hot months.
EAT THIS: Pizza Pilgrims is a must for that no-nonsense, no frills, authentic and delicious pizza.
ENJOY THIS: Yolkin has drool-worthy macaron ice cream sandwiches.
INSTAGRAM THIS: Maitre Choux’s eclairs have to be, hands-down, the most irresistible sweet treat that could possibly dent your wallet a bit too in the process. My personal favourite is the ‘Red Love’ and the ‘Spanish Raspberry Pink’ eclair!
There are obviously a lot more places to be added to this list, I would have to dedicate an entire blogpost to just that. Stay tuned.
Thank you for reading and hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Grab some items in the sales that’s hitting all the stores around you!
